ALBIS merges North American operations and moves headquarters

Duncan, South Carolina, January 31th, 2018. Following ALBIS’ acquisition of the remaining shares in ALBIS Barnet Polymers LLC on October 1st, 2017 the activities of ALBIS Barnet Polymers have now been fully integrated into ALBIS Plastics Corporation. As a result of this merger ALBIS’ North American headquarters have moved from Sugar Land, Texas to the company’s location in Duncan, South Carolina.

"The merger emphasizes our strategy to provide one face to the customer and significantly increases the ease of doing business with ALBIS in this region,” comments Stefan Fuhlendorf, the newly appointed President & CEO of ALBIS Plastics Corporation.

The ALBIS Group has been active as a leading distributor and compounder in Europe since 1961 and more recently has expanded its reach into Asia Pacific and the Americas with new compounding facilities giving its customers true global support capabilities. As a result last year ALBIS launched a new compounding plant in the US, which is also located in Duncan, South Carolina and manufactures prime engineering compounds under the brands ALTECH® and ALCOM®.

Fuhlendorf says: “ALBIS has been active in North America for 50 years. I am confident that due to our newly established local manufacturing footprint we will be able to strengthen our customer relationships and grow our overall business in North America even further“.
