ALBIS awarded silver in the EcoVadis sustainability rating

Hamburg, February 22, 2024. ALBIS, one of the leading distributors of standard polymers, engineering plastics and a growing number of sustainable product solutions, has received the EcoVadis Silver Medal. The award from the largest independent provider of sustainability assessments according to globally recognized Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) standards underlines ALBIS' commitment to sustainability, social responsibility and environmentally friendly business activities.

Since the distribution and compounding activities of the former ALBIS Plastics GmbH have been operating on the market as two separate companies of the holding company Otto Krahn Group, ALBIS has been evaluated for the first time and immediately achieved silver status. This puts ALBIS in the top 15 percent of companies appraised last year. In their rating, the analysts at EcoVadis assess the company's overall responsibility in the areas of the environment, labor and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement. These criteria are derived from the Global Reporting Initiative, the United Nations Global Compact and the ISO 26000 standard, among others.
