    Covestro is one of the world's leading manufacturers of high-tech polymer materials. The range includes Polycarbonate as well as precursors for hard and soft Polyurethane foam. In addition, there are components for state-of-the-art paints, adhesives and sealants as well as films and other special products, such as cosmetics and medicine.

    Our cooperation with Covestro goes back to the first distribution agreement - at that time with Bayer AG, which Covestro emerged from - and has been operating for more than 50 years. Over the decades, a strong, trusting relationship has grown, backed by excellent product and market expertise. At the same time, through proven teamwork, ALBIS and Covestro are providing in solving the technically demanding challenges that we face in the European plastics processing industry. Today, we are a pan-European distribution partner for the European market leader for the production of Polycarbonates and Polycarbonate blends. As a long-standing licensing partner, we are able to offer customized colorations with the name of the brand Covestro.

    Ma­kro­lon® *

    Manufacturers rely on Makrolon® polycarbonate's unique combinations of properties. It is extremely robust, lightweight with glass-like transparency and is impact resistant – even at extremely low temperatures. It has a high dimensional stability and is easily molded, yet has excellent heat resistance with a glass transition temperature of up to 148ºC.

    Industries
    Covestro offers a broad portfolio of Makrolon® polycarbonate resins. These include general purpose, lighting, medical and food contact, flame-retardant, impact-modified and glass-fiber reinforced grades. These grades can be used for injection molding, extrusion and blow molding, in a range of markets including automotive and transportation, construction, electronics, medical, lighting and optical data storage.
