    SK Chemicals is a South Korean company originally established in 1969. Since then, the company has grown through continuous change and innovation into a chemical and life science enterprise. The company’s business structure is divided into the Green Chemicals and Life Science sectors.

    According to its own information, SK Chemicals specialises in the Green Chemicals sector, covering copolyester, bio-based copolyester containing up to 15% biomass-derived carbon, recycled-content copolyester, chemically recycled PET, and engineering plastics. The Life Science segment focuses on the manufacturing and sales of pharmaceuticals.

    Through continuous development and innovation, SK Chemicals has steadily expanded its product range. The company supplies materials for technical, industrial, packaging, and medical applications across various end markets.

    Since October 1, 2020, ALBIS has been an official distributor of SK Chemicals’ copolyester portfolio in the EMEA region.

    ECOZEN®

    ECOZEN® is the world’s first transparent bio-modified copolyester, produced with a share of renewable bio-sourced monomer. The innovative formulation from SK not only helps to reduce the carbon footprint and supports sustainable solutions, but inherently it also increases the heat deflection temperature up to 110°C.
    ECOZEN® comes in several distinctive grades and is available in both amorphous and semi-crystalline form. Apart from having a higher HDT, ECOZEN® products are distinguished by their high impact strength, glass-like transparency and absence of Bisphenol-A.

    Industries
    The unique properties of ECOZEN® make it a perfect material for packaging in cosmetic industry, food containers, household appliances, water and sports bottles etc. Strong advantage is its versatility in processing – it can be used in injection moulding, injection and extrusion blow moulding, sheet & film extrusions and injection stretch blow moulding.
