Products
SKYTRA® is SK Chemicals' brand for highly flame retardant, glass fiber reinforced PET compounds. PET compounds have a higher stiffness than PBT compounds with the same degree of reinforcement at elevated temperatures and can therefore withstand higher temperatures. Compared to polyamides PET has a high dimensional stability since it does not absorb moisture.
Due to its excellent flame retardant properties, SKYTRA® meets UL94 V0 classification at 0.35 mm and 5VA classification at 1.5 mm wall thickness. It also convinces with very high RTI values of 155 °C at 0.7 mm wall thickness.
